LEE Services is an agency that builds on the individual strengths of participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their direct support workforce. Through community service projects, individual skill building, and creative expression, LEE (Learning Enrichment Experiences) provides opportunities for enhancing the quality of life measures for people with disabilities in Warren County, New Jersey. Lorraine D’Sylva-Lee is the President/CEO of LEE Services, LLC. She has a Master's in Leadership and Public Administration and is completing her Ph.D. at the Department of Interprofessional Health Sciences and Health Administration, School of Health and Medical Sciences at Seton Hall University. Ms. D’Sylva-Lee has lived experiences as the parent of a daughter with profound IDD who has dedicated her life and career to learning, teaching, and implementing best practice approaches for IDD. She is a well-respected professional with more than 25 years of experience in promoting excellence, enhancing competencies, and cultivating positive relationships across all levels of systems impacting vulnerable individuals. Her distinguished career started with the deinstitutionalization movement in New Jersey, where she coordinated community integration programs focused on enhancing communication, effective self-advocacy, and public policy leadership training for adults with IDD and their families.
WHAT WE DO
LEE Services are designed to implement person-centered practices in addressing the unique social, emotional, and functional education needs of people with a wide range of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). All programs and services are provided using trauma-informed lenses and applying the principles of the Nurtured Heart Approach in a safe, respectful, and stimulating environment where individuals with IDD can expand their knowledge, develop independent skills, foster healthy relationships, and actively engage in local community activities.
